Research is a key priority of the postgraduate program.
Students join the research groups of the teachers, within the framework of which they are trained in modern research methods and prepare diploma theses.
The research groups are active in fields such as visual and multisensory perception, implicit learning, computational simulation of mental and complex systems, recognition of spoken and written words, time perception, etc.
The research results, with the participation of postgraduate students, are announced at Greek and international scientific conferences and published in high-prestige international scientific journals after a review.
The program's lecturers collaborate with researchers from institutions such as the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), the Institute of Biomedical Research of the Academy of Athens (IIBEAA), the University of Ioannina, the National Centre for Scientific Research "Demokritos", as well as from other departments of the University of Athens such as Medicine, Linguistics, Psychology, etc. Selected students of the program are financially supported by research programs in which the lecturers participate, in collaboration with other domestic and foreign institutions.
